Detailed Link Request Letter Template
Building links to your website is a time consuming process, but it’s critical to improving your Google search engine ranking. If you have the time, the following link request letter and process is an excellent way to get high quality links with relevant content back to your targeted page. Note by writing content for someone else’s website, you are more likely to have your link and content stay on their site.
You will obviously need to replace some of the text with your name, website and targeted website.
Hello. I`m Rich Close (replace with your name),
I have a website to help small businesses save money and generate more sales:
RichClose.com (Replace this with your website).
I’ve been searching for potential partners and having seen your website TBD-Site-I-Want-To-Link-To.com. I thought I’d drop you a line to see if you would be interested in a relationship with my site RichClose.com (Replace this with your website). We are a respected consulting company who specializes in Search Engine Optimization, Google Apps Setup and Management, Google AdWords Management. .
I have a couple of ideas which I hope you might find useful:
1) I can have my editorial team hand write some custom content for you to add to a page on TBD-Site-I-Want-To-Link-To.com. We will agree on a subject with you that is relevant to both of our sites (it won`t be a sales pitch for us!) and will include a single simple text link back to a relevant content page on our site. The content will be uniquely written for you and will not be re-used elsewhere. I hope it will be helpful for your visitors and of course the search engines. Hopefully we will also benefit from the link in the longer term.

2) We can exchange links with you, directly from a relevant content page on RichClose.com (Replace this with your website). We will explain where links are located on our site (on properly indexed and ranked pages) when you reply – we don`t have a links page as such – we link from the most relevant page to each partner.
There are of course no costs to you with either approach.
Thanks for your consideration!
